It was a shocker, but it wasn’t like we didn’t know it was coming.
If you’ve been around very long, you’ve probably picked
up on the fact that Kathe, besides having numerous health
problems, has had a dream of bringing a long term project
together for quite some time.
Prior to the first Internet bubble burst in 2000, Kathe
had invested an enormous amount of time, energy and
money to develop a business plan that was so far into
the future – it’s STILL not out there!
The stars are aligning now, and the cards have been
played, so as The Wacky Gang starts it’s 5th year, Kathe
has decided to strike while the proverbial iron is hot
and move on to new ventures.
“After all these years in the Internet Marketing niche,
I have sooo much stuff, I hate to see anything go to waste
or gather that digital dust, so I think I’ll just start
liquidating and see how it goes. I know I’m leaving Wacky
in capable hands and of course I’ll be around if you need
me to help or pick up the slack.”
That’s the note I received from Kathe, not in its
entirety of course, but the gist of things is that she
wants to spend more time working with business people
and building out her dream project.
“It took over 10 years for all the pieces I envisioned
back then to actually come together and where I thought
someone would have built this out already, I guess it
was just waiting for me to do it all along…ya think?!”
While Kathe will still be working online, this will be
a big undertaking and require most all of her time, but while
things come together, we both wanted to give you a chance
to do several things:
1) Stay in touch with Kathe via email updates, announcements,
even potentially participating in your own local markets if
you have an interest.
2) Have an opportunity to pick up some great bargains she
has “just laying around gathering digital dust.”
3) Gain access to some excellent Internet marketing and
niche domains and/or websites she’ll be unloading, out of
her 1300+ collection. “I’ve had some of these for well over
5-8 years.”
4) Delve into different areas of online and offline business
techniques, experience some introspective, positive, “self
improvement” tactics and share in new, forward thinking
ideas that emerge along the way.
5) Possibly test portions of the new system coming together.
Your feedback could be crucial to the features it contains.
Kathe has put up a squeeze page, nothing fancy, no gifts (at
this writing anyway), but asked that we mention it. You’ll
need to confirm of course, but if you’d like to stay in
touch or up-to-date on further developments, you can always
sign up here:
Of course, the Wacky Gang will be staying in close
touch with Kathe, but giving her room to focus on her dream project.
“This is and always was my “retirement.” I need to build
this out while I have a few good years left and while the
public is clamoring for something like this to debut!”
So, while things won’t change TOO much around here, we wanted
to wish Kathe all the best in her new found excitement over
getting things “BACK to the FUTURE…”
And if you want to stay in the loop, go sign up here:
“I won’t be promoting Wacky stuff there of course, but I just
thought some of them would like to keep up with future developments
aside from just the Internet Marketing niche stuff. ”
So, there you have it! It’s final and Kathe’s given her two
weeks notice to us all. Other than some internal matters being
settled, the wacky brand will continue. Of course we’ll miss the
benefit of her daily input and direction.
“Come November, I will be working closer with the programmers
and others to move this thing forward. Hopefully, you guys don’t
feel like I’m deserting any of you – I just need to move on this
now while the opportunity presents itself. This isn’t good-bye,
just a change in direction – It’s A Good Thing! ”
We’re sure Kathe will have more to say before she get’s too busy or “gone,” but we wanted to get the announcement out so we could congratulate her on moving forward with her dreams, and thank her for laying the groundwork and having the foresight to launch the Wacky brand at a time when “Instant Comissions” and the Rapid Action Profits Script (RAP) were still uncharted territory 4 years ago.
Since this is an unusual announcement, there’s nothing to sell here, but we we’re still celebrating our Wacky Birthday month with our daily $4 24-hour specials and the party continues!!
So STAY TUNED – There’s more to come!

Internet Marketing Ethics… Is There Such A Thing?

Totally Cool Technique To Get Automatic Traffic - Click Here!
If you’ve been with us for awhile you know that we always try to give you the BEST possible prices on all of our products, BUT we also must stay within the license terms for pricing the products we sell, and ethically we feel, without special permission, there is absolutely no reason to do otherwise.
But, to quote numerous other marketers over the past several years, The Wacky Gals “low ball” their prices, thereby “devaluing” products.
For quite some time, many didn’t “get it” about HOW we price our offers, the first offer being without rights (normally) and the second offer to include the rights – adding BOTH prices together as the correct, ethical, and according to licensing, total price for any resell rights offered (including, but not limited to Resell Rights, Master Resell Rights and/or Private Label Rights).
Yet, much to our utter surprise, a product that was released just a few days ago is being sold by not one, but A FEW OTHER marketers that we have actually seen, at WELL BELOW THE STATED MINIMUM PRICE IN THE LICENSE TERMS!
Now, we sold this product ourselves, but we priced it AT THE MINIMUM “recommended” so that we were sure to abide by the terms, even writing the originator to confirm we had his/her “blessings” regarding our price structure, and etc.
Now, we know “by law” developers can’t actually state a minimum price, BUT, they CAN revoke a license if they so choose (and if stated as such within the terms) when pricing or release dates are violated.
No doubt, it’s a slippery slope, because MOST developers and marketers we come across don’t really know HOW to write a good license where all terms are clear regarding what can and can’t be done with the product.
The product developer would more than likely have called US on the carpet if we had “mispriced” our offer, (someone is always ready to “tattle” it seems), and that is exactly why we wrote first before stating any prices.
From past experiences with some marketers, where we might sell products in a dimesale fashion, or where our pricing models could be misunderstood, where many “unknowns” can get away with it, the Wacky Gals always seemed to draw the attention of others that wanted us shut down, or shut out.
Many licenses do NOT even specify minimum prices and if they did, we would abide by the terms, always, or seek special permission to clarify the licensing or offer in a dimesale, whatever the case may be. However, what some fail to realize is that our prices increase in dimesales and when the dimesale ends, the product is always selling for a “reasonable” price and/or within the license terms.
What we’ve found is that because we have been around so long, and from the first day agreed to ALWAYS follow the license terms, we seem to get ripped apart by other (usually newer) developers and marketers for “devaluing” products. Yet even when there is CLEARLY a minimum price stated in the licence, we see many others selling it for much LESS, giving it away, or selling certain rights not allowed in the original licensing.
Listen folks, this is a common problem nowadays because many online seem to be desperate to “take the money and run,” not building for the long term, but taking what they can and leaving others to clean up their mess (or worse, finding out later that what they bought is actually useless because it goes against the original terms).
What’s wrong with this picture?
Do you really know what you’re buying (or being given)? Or does it even matter?
Many would say, “all’s fair in love and war” but is it?
And what about the “latest and greatest” methodologies of selling for pennies on the dollar, yet ousting certain marketers for “devaluing” products?
Maybe it’s a losing battle or maybe this isn’t the arena for ethical marketing.
We’d love to hear your comments on this topic, so please feel free to post them below.

Are YOU Losing Affiliate Commissions?
Don't Miss This HOT OFFER...

Discover The Most Powerful New Viral Traffic Platform Online. - Click Here!
Hello folks, sorry for the delay in getting this up, it’s been a hectic week for all of us, with Kathe having weather issues and her best friend in ICU, and with Denise trying to get the sale together for Friday – well, we just flat run out of time every day.
But we’ve pulled things together from our recent tests and made screenshots to assist those of you associated with marketers that operate the Rapid Action Profits (RAP) script for sales and the affiliate program.
(An excellent, predictable and stable script, btw, not to mention reasonably priced) Check it out here: Rapid Action Profits Script
In the last post we talked about diverted commissions. While both pertain only to the RAP script (used by many marketers these days) and how it works, we believe the following info will clarify and answer many questions you’ve had. Plus, will show you what to look for when accessing your own affiliate account.
There are many ways for commissions to get “lost” in the virtual world and some people, in good faith, promote products and never get paid, thinking they either didn’t make any sales, or something was wrong with “the system” and/or the server.
Several affiliate marketers we know will tell you there are certain affiliate programs they really prefer not to promote through because it always seems the stats are a little “off.” Who ever really knows if the programs they use are even set up correctly anyway.
But our recent “account encounter” was with the Rapid Action Profits Script (RAP) and since we have been using it for 4 years now, we’re quite familiar with the way things work and how it reacts to certain actions.
The following are five screen shots of a reseller/affiliate account under five different circumstances within the Reseller area:
EMAIL LOGIN DETAILS – where you may have forgotten either your nickname and/or your password. Click here to view screenshot
PASSWORD REQUEST (returned screen) – where you enter your email and ask for password to be sent. Click here to view screenshot
There are two other instances where you will be returned the following screens, the first two being a deleted account, and the last one being a banned affiliate (usually as a result of spamming, doing something against reseller terms, and etc.)
DELETED ACCOUNT – Nickname Return Message Screen. Click here to view screenshot
DELETED ACCOUNT – Email Return Message Screen. Click here to view screenshot
BANNED ACCOUNT – Shows As Invalid. Click here to view screenshot
We did extensive research and consulted with other RAP owners about the system’s “standard responses” in order to clarify for you what you should see, when.
NOTE: Commissions are paid to “admin” in the event of Banned Accounts and/or Deleted Accounts where all links in the marketplace and across the Internet remain active.
Any other instance would entail deliberate access to the database (phpMyAdmin in this case) as nicknames and/or Paypal emails can not be changed in any other manner than to open a NEW account or change the info within the database. While the “mailing email” (same or different from the Paypal email can be changed, it is changed by the affiliate/reseller themselves.
Any other access would require the “owner” to enter the database by hand and search for said affiliate/reseller. In fact, many of you have requested we enter the database to change your nickname, reseller name and/or Paypal emails to fit your marketing needs better.
Since The Wacky Gals now personalize most of the salespages to show the affiliats name as our partner, if you are unhappy with what you have entered, you can open a support ticket here: WackySupport.com and request we directly access the database to change either your nickname, full name and/or your Paypal email address – the only means we have (at the time) to change those database fields for you.
NOTE: If your Paypal information has been changed via hacking or access to the database, your commissions will go to the changed Paypal email (not always “admin”)showing in the database. In that instance, your account will show as active, but with the changed/named Paypal email.
Most marketers, at least those that are building their business for the long haul, would never think to make any changes to the database except upon request because an affiliate/reseller that misbehaves can have their accounts banned (or can deleted from the database .
Banning an account leaves all records intact for future reference (if needed), where deleting an account removes any trace the account ever existed (not a good practice). As a business owner, it would be prudent to ban a reseller and notify them of the infraction that is causing the banning of their account(s), rather than delete all the reseller sales and commission records on file.
ONE FINAL NOTE (and a common question we receive):
As an affiliate/reseller you should know that the “first sale” (with the exception of 100% commissions) goes to the program owner. Some have questioned this about the RAP script, yet this was the original intent to prevent affiliates from buying from themselves.
As an affiliate/reseller, should you access your own Paypal account when trying to purchase, you are more than likely cookied to your own affiliate link. Simply clear your cookies, and your sale should go through smoothly. Paypal does not allow you to purchase from yourself.
We hope this give you some basis by which you can stay on top of your own affiliate/reseller accounts with marketers that use the Rapid Action Profits (RAP) script. As an active affiliate, you will most likely recognize the RAP system as different from other affiliate scripts.
In short, should you attempt to log into your own affiliate/reseller account (regardless of what script is running the program) and you find something “not right” you should report it immediately and hopefully get the situation explained and resolved quickly and easily.

Is This Marketer Stealing Our Commissions?
Pssst! Here's A HOT OFFER...

Article Marketing Domination has Arrived - Click Here!
We’ve just learned that a fellow marketer is outright diverting our commissions and we think you need to be aware of this sort of thing happening in the marketplace before you invest your time, promotional efforts and advertising dollars promoting your affiliate links for such marketers and products.
Now, before we get into what we just learned today that was so upsetting, we’d like to say that last month another marketer pointed out to us that the Internet marketer in question had taken a stab at us.
He had sent an email to his subscribers with the subject line “Don’t do something Wacky” and the email body said “we don’t want you to do something “Wacky” like PAY for the new [product name]! We’ve got it for you FREE here: [his link]”
Here is a screenshot of that email – regarding privacy, the receipient’s name has been covered. TheWackyGang.com/april8-email.jpg
The jab was referring to our then current Wacky Weekend Dimesale product. He was giving it away for free, we were selling it. That kind of thing happens in marketing, just like one seller charges more than another for the same product. No big deal, really.
We kind of blew it off at the time, thinking it was all in fun, but now we know better…
We didn’t think much of it at the time. We had previously signed up to affiliate a couple of his products, and had also made earnings from previous cookied affiliate links. We are familiar with
how this all works.
Today, to our dismay, while attempting to login to his affiliate center to get our affiliate link for a new product we wanted to promote, we discovered that he had removed our “wacky” email/paypal address and inserted his own Paypal email address!
We did a “whois” search for the domain used in that email, and imagine our surprise when we found that it did, indeed, belong to the very Internet marketer whose products we were trying to affiliate.
Our affiliate nickname is always the same, and when we couldn’t login with the password we have in our records we used the “forgot password” button at his site. When we entered our usual affiliate nickname, instead of showing that it had sent the login details to our email address, it reported it had sent them to an email we didn’t recognize as our own.
What that means is that anyone who was cookied to our affiliate nickname “wacky” from our past promotions is now paying the product owner our affiliate commissions. And we receive nothing.
Until now, we have admired his presentations and products, so why would he do this?
Our best guess is because he sees us as strong competition, but of course that is only our opinion.
Working online isn’t a race or a contest. Yes, it IS competitive, and we do know there have
always been a few thieves in the mix, but to blatantly alter the payment information of one of
your own affiliates so that you get paid instead is simple thievery.
We know what we think. We’d like to know your opinions as well.
And stay tuned, Kathe has already written the marketer in question for his explanation, so we will update after his response to these allegations.
Leave us a comment and tell us your thoughts on situations such as this.
(UPDATE: we didn’t name the marketer because we wanted to allow him to answer our 3 email requests for explanation. He appeared within minutes of our post and email, and revealed his own identity below then emailed his own affiliates to visit the blog for comment.
We have attempted to take the “emotion” from our post to be fair, and ALL comments have been posted “as is” EXCEPT where a link MAY have been rewritten to prevent unknown or unvalidated links from being posted.)
Further, although we may not respond to every comment, we didn’t want anyone to feel their post was insignificant and thank you ALL for your participation in this discussion.
We have received numerous “messages” from those not wanting to post for fear of retribution or the deletion of their own affiliate account(s). We fully understand this, and again, appreciate your input and support.
The marketer has covered his tracks and while we appreciate “Ken” and his loyalty to the marketer in question. His behavior on this blog stands on it’s own.
Posts are automatically approved per our settings, except those containing excessive links. This is simply a precaution and we reserve the right to remove duplicate posts.
UPDATE: June 8th – At several of your requests, we have removed the spam comments and now will approve what goes up. As we can go thru “his” comments, we will also put those back up that we feel are not abusive to you, the poster(s). We know he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, but don’t think it’s right for him to harrass those of you nice enough to comment on our behalf. This only affects ONE person that has posted over 20 times…again, as we go thru the posts, we will re-approve so they appear – we have nothing to hide, of course.
