How Often Should You Blog?
Recently we came across this article that we felt would be very helpful to many of you and answer that age old question:
Just how often should I be posting to my blog? :) Read and enjoy…
Two weeks ago, I opted to remove my email address from a listing I subscribed from one blog that aroused my interest. I never expected that the occurrence of emails I will receive every week will be too much for me and I don’t want to consider it a spam, instead I bookmarked the website.
Sharing my experience above, the frequency of posting to your blog is very important, and many bloggers out there are asking the same question, how often should you post to your blog ? Well I hope what I have to say will help you in answering that question, just bear in my mind, there is no definite answer, it all depends with the following factors described below.
Type of Blog
What is your blog? This will help you determine the frequency of posting. If your blog is all about news and current events, posting might take more than once a day depending on the topics being covered.
If your blog is all about product reviews, then the frequency of your blog depends upon the products’ release and information. If it is all about special events, then frequency of posting may be varied.
If your blog’s type is informative, instructional, spiritual, inspirational, scientific, financial or in general, depending on the importance of what you have to say. You can post more often if you have important or urgent things to impart or less frequent following your regular routine or schedule of posting.
Type of Readers
Who are your readers, who are your targeted audience? You will have no problems when it comes to your loyal readers, they need your written information, they enjoy reading your post, they know you, they comment on your blog and they follow every post you publish.
To others, personality of each individual varies. Taking this into consideration, you should balance the frequency of your posts if you want to invite more readers and followers. If you post very often, make sure you don’t sacrifice quality over quantity, or some of your readers may consider it spam or splog (spam blog) and they will not consider coming back.
Rhythm & Pattern
Regardless of how many times you post to your blog, you should maintain a rhythm in posting. 2-3 times a week, every weekends, every other day, every other week, or monthly, this way, your readers will know when to visit your blog. If they expect that on a specific day of the week they will find a fresh new article then make sure that excitement never ceases by posting new articles on those days.
Conclusion
How often should you post to your blog depends upon your judgment, the type of your blog and your targeted audience. Ideally 2-3 times a week is good enough, but if you have something important to say publish it no matter how often it is, otherwise, relax and stick to your plans.
Going back to my story above, the blog was all about how to invest your money in various ways. The articles I received, although numerous, were informative but the problem is I don’t have that much money to invest in different ways, I guess I am not one his targeted audience. Even though I unsubscribed from the email newsletter, I might need some of its articles in the future so I bookmarked that blog. Who knows I might become a millionaire one day and might subscribe again to that site.

Enough is Enough is Enough…
Our last blog post here got such an unexpected response (in more ways than one), we’ve been somewhat slow to come back with more. While we never intended to appear to be gifting folks for bashing another marketer, it seemed to turn into a not so friendly public roast, so much so that we felt an apology was in order – to EVERYBODY, and including the marketer mentioned.
We’ve since edited out the name calling and negative remarks on our previous post,
we hope you’ll understand, and we’ll TRY not to be so controversial as we go
forward here.
We’ve written about “Following the wrong Joneses” and it seems the more our online
market grows and the more new marketers that enter the market, we’re beginning to
see more and more licensing violations on products – especially in the “ad swaps”
arenas that many marketers very active in, and are pushing to build their lists.
If you’re going to use a product to attract someone to your list, it would
be our suggestion (and advice) that you ADHERE TO THE LICENSING of that product.
While it may seem harmless, believe us, the authors and original marketers of
those products don’t think so.
We don’t like tattling all over the place, but we feel that to let things
continue unchecked is setting us ALL up for future disaster, and afterall,
if YOU are the one violating the license, it certainly doesn’t fare well
for your future with some very prominent Internet Marketers that you may well
want to do business with in the future.
Product devaluation has been a hot button and even we are accused of that, or
were moreso when we first started over 2 years ago, although we adhere to every
license and try to clarify it if it is confusing in any way.
Not that we are perfect by any means and at times we, too, have overlooked
something when it comes to dimesales or what we can give away, but aside from
the occasional flub, we are pretty picky about license adherence.
Folks, if you are a new marketer and are currently building your list via
ad swaps or giveaways, please, please read the license before putting your
name on something out there. If the license wasn’t passed with the product,
then go back to where you got it and ASK for it.
If a product doesn’t have a written license, do not attempt to give it away
or resell it without first contacting the author(s) and/or publisher(s).
That alone can save a reputation that has yet to be established in the
marketplace.
One of the common misunderstandings we encounter with our Wacky sales is
that we are in violation of suggested pricing by selling the PERSONAL USE
initially at a lower price than may be stated or requested.
Yet, when you add the one time offer (oto) rights, many times we are right
on the nose or in some instances even exceed the suggested minimum pricing,
but we’ve had to do our fair share of educating other marketers and now, of
course, we see others using our same methods and it’s become more recognized.
We’ve had some really seething mad marketers contact us about price devaluation
only to find out that we were in line. Once we took the time to explain how
things worked around the Wacky place.
These things happen.
But back to giving away products.
Whether you purchase them or not, read and adhere to licensing. If it states
it can’t be given away, don’t do it. You may feel you can get away with it on
the surface, and even build your list up with it, but trust us, other marketers
know – and we all talk too.
This is one time the Nike slogan “Just Do It!” isn’t beneficial to you.
If you think you’re in violation a product license, just DON’T DO IT!
Thanks for dropping by and please do leave a comment for your GIFT.
If you’ve been here before, your numbers will accumulate and you’ll get
new gifts with future comments.
We always appreciate your input.

Monkey See, Monkey Do? Or Just Another Copy Cat?
Here we are with another rant about (removed) marketers…
If you don’t know the “Wacky” story by now, then this will be some fun
reading.
More than two years ago the “Wacky” concept was born, with the first site
being WackyWednesdaySale.com
Kathe Lucas and Denise Hall came together in January 2008 to do a re-launch
of the main site and the “wacky gals” soon added WackyWeekendSale.com
and, as many of you know, now have WackyWeekly.com active, the support
desk at WackySupport.com and have legal ownership claim to MANY other
variations such as TheWackyGang.com, WackyGals.com, and including WackyTeam.com,
TheWackyTeam.com, and our NEWEST PROJECT, WackyCentral.com (coming soon).
We’ve worked very hard from day one to build our “Wacky” brand as one that will
represent integrity, honesty, good product packages, fair prices and prompt
customer and affiliate support.
Six months or so into our “Wacky” journey in 2008, some (removed) came along and
began selling similar products on a similar domain called wacky wednesday
“DEALS” which didn’t delight us, but we certainly can’t tell anyone what to
call their website or what domain to use.
But THEN we began to notice he was copying us in other smaller ways, too, in
order to build “his” brand, we felt, from our success.
This kind of thing can be very confusing to folks out there, and before long
we had people associating us with this guy and his “DEALS” site.
Kathe approached the owner of the site and asked that he possibly not use the
same wording or sign his sales pages in the same way and was met with a harsh
and bitter response where he basically told us WE infringed upon HIS brand…lol
We laughed it off and figured “what will be, will be” and although he still
has sales, there’s no consistency and we were confident in our own branding
attempts, that they were working and soon, folks were familiar with “The
Wacky Gals” and their weekly sales
BUT…
Here we are facing the same low handed tactics where NOW the guy must be
ashamed of HIS name, because he has resorted to using the verbiage of another
domain we own and lingo we use for where we’ve grown into “The Wacky Team”
(we even own the ‘WackyTeam’ gmail account from which we send our emails.
AND WHAT’S WORSE IS…
He has JUST released an “illegal” product for sale in which the PLR license
specifically states the product CANNOT be sold until March 2, 2010. (Sorry,
we won’t give him the benefit of a backlink here, but we will say the product
is about 21 ways to make money.) We have promoted the original PLR, and many
of you have purchased it here: ezclik.com/is/fastcashPLR
Now, there’s no mistake about it, he has BLATANTLY disregarded the license
terms, and while we have notified our friend Aurelius, we surely don’t want
anyone confusing our good name and brand with HIS site or lack of integrity
in this instance.
Now, we know we have some very loyal followers of our Wacky sites (thank you!)
and we just want to ask you to please be sure you know exactly WHO you are
dealing with when you see the word “WACKY” on a sales page.
Unfortunately, some marketers will do anything to capitalize on the hard work
of others, copy their methods or business plan, yet we don’t want anyone
getting taken for a ride by such people if we can help it.
So if you purchase that product before March 2, 2010 you will have obtained it
under false conditions, and more than likely his license will come into question
and could affect your product and sales as well. Should you happen to purchase
the resell license and sell it before that date, YOU too, will be in hot water
with the product creator and your own reputation could be questioned.
‘Nuff said?
Let us know what you think about these tactics and what, if anything, should
be done about these types of outright license fraud and infringements?
To Your Success, Kathe, Denise & The Wacky Gang
P.S. We haven’t had a chance to put this in your hands yet, but you can see it
in action if you POST A COMMENT and receive an incentive to your post.
Here’s the product link:
Your gift can be found in the email box from which you posted when your post
is approved.
Pretty cool, eh?
UPDATE: Yes, the guy has changed his site now.

Keeping Up With The Wrong Joneses Could Be Hazardous To Your Wealth
This has been bothering the Wacky Gang for some time now, but even more-so now
due to some more recent events in the marketplace…
We’ve been online for many years and during this time, we’ve seen numerous
new marketers pop up. Some make money and some don’t. Some keep trying until
they do and others simply give up after a time. Some are trustworthy, and
some aren’t.
Unfortunately, that’s the nature of Internet marketing, and most businesses
in general, for that matter. Afterall, not everybody knocks a homerun every
time they step up to bat.
But what bothers us these past few months is the number of marketers, especially
in recent months, who are being led and “coached” by other NEW marketers! That
pretty much equates to “the blind leading the blind” in our wacky estimation.
Now, being “new” really has nothing to do with it, IF the marketer actually
knows what he or she is talking about, maybe even acquired a specialty of sorts.
But there are some marketers (even some well known ones) that have NEVER done
what they say they have, and worse, can barely rub two nickels together.
However, we’re seeing more and more marketers offering high priced coaching or
mentoring programs, where some of these “coaches”/”mentors” haven’t made all that
much money online themselves… at least, not until some sucker(s) paid them
thousands of dollars for training (or worse, for someone else’s video training).
We’ll admit we didn’t actually sign up and take all the classes to see exactly
what was being taught in every instance, but here are our observations based on
what we’ve seen some of the “graduates” putting into action…
There seems to be a little “clique,” if you will, among the trainers and the
trainees. Naturally, it’s always good to have someone help you out and answer
your questions, but it appears that many of these so-called “coaches” or self
proclaimed “gurus” have almost “black-balled” other marketers in the eyes of
their students.
They appear to have taught their students that if things aren’t done THEIR
way, then other marketers are “doing it all wrong” and their way is the only
acceptable way.
Well, we beg to differ.
There are various and sundry ways to do just about anything and everything
online, and it’s best to keep an open mind and try new things to see what works
best for YOU.
Many of these students/graduates also seem to be severely lacking in the
“netiquette” department. We don’t mind being approached by newer marketers for
joint ventures, but we do mind when they don’t seem to understand that WE will
be the ones to choose what and when we promote something, and that we will not
let them tell us how to run OUR business.
At the risk of sounding too “snobby” (or old) – we’ve been doing this a long
time and we have a pretty good idea what we’re doing …And certainly don’t
need some “snot-nosed bully” giving us pointers, thank you, when most of them
are barely able to pay their basic living expenses until they get some more
“sucker money” from some poor unsuspecting sap.
This whole situation makes us wonder if there’s going to be a new video series
released soon – “The Pied Piper Meets The Stepford Wives.” And if there is,
PLEASE don’t buy it …more than likely it will woo you in the wrong direction
anyway.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with hiring a coach to train you, following
a mentor that’s been around for awhile, or in buying good, reasonably priced
products to learn from… there’s a lot to know to get your online business off
the ground.
But we ask – no, we BEG you – please be careful of WHO you “follow” on YOUR
path to online success.
Do some checking around OUTSIDE of the Internet Marketing arena. You may find
that not only do they not have the credibility, they may not even be the person
they tell you they are! (This is more common than you think)
Some marketers are only out to take your money, whether in the name of personal
coaching, mentoring or “new” digital products. They could care less if you
actually succeed, as long as they pay their own bills with YOUR hard-earned cash…
By the same token, other marketers will take your money by having you sell their
products online or forward all your subscribers to them and then leave you
penniless when it comes time to pay affiliate commissions.
As long as they can sweet talk you out of your money, then they can honestly say
that they have “made money online.” They just can’t say that they’ve made money
online necessarily doing what they purport to teach you to do.
Oh, and those “social proof” screenshots? Most of them have been doctored, OR
if you look closely, they reflect what was going on more than a year or two
ago when the market was much different than today.
Be careful, look both ways before crossing the street or you may find yourself
just another casualty of some over hyped marketer that just came on the scene
and thinks “my way is the only way.”
Wasn’t there once a dynamic “pied piper” of Guyana who was able to lead hundreds
to their death when they believed his bunk and drank his delicious kool-aid?
